Body Cleansing
Also known as Detoxification, it
is a program of fasting and elimination of toxins to maintain body health.
Body cleansing therapy can
be a part of supplementary alternative medical treatments, and proponents
maintain that a cleansed, detoxified body will not only be able to heal
itself from a variety of common ailments, such as acne, allergies and
colitis, but will also promote general health and longevity.
Some techniques of body cleansing focus on the entire body,
while others aim to detoxify specific organs, such as the colon, kidneys or
liver.
A variety of body cleansing systems are available on the
market today involving both internal and external cleansing methods.
Externally, body cleansing through milk baths and mud masques
can remove unsightly impurities from the skin that showering alone cannot.

Internally, body cleansing systems that involve a spa-like
treatment are detoxification treatments. These treatments involve colonic
cleansings through the use of coffee or saline solutions injected into the
rectum to flush out the colon. Such procedures are usually very
time
consuming and often painful.
Another option to the internal body cleansing systems is to
use natural body cleansing through water showers. Using a bidet shower head
attached adjacent to the toilet can serve as an alternative to abrasive
toilet papers. Also a bidet attached to the toilet provides a warm,
cleansing sensation that is not harsh or harmful.
