Area 51
Also
known as Groom Lake, Area 51 is an
off
limits government installation located in the Nevada Desert, approximately 95 miles from
Las Vegas, where it is claimed that scientists secretly work on crashed
UFO's, supposedly to benefit the military and its
weaponry using alien technology.
It is such a secret place that even
entering its airspace is forbidden. It is rumored that top-secret military
aircraft, from the
U-2 to the
stealth fighter were test flown there. Another
rumor is that the top-secret spy-plane
"Aurora" uses alien technology obtained through Area 51.
The number 51 refers to a 6 by 10 mile block of land, at the center of which is
this large installation the government refuses to discuss.
